New or returning runners
Taking up running or returning to running after a break can seem like a scary thought.
But did you know that regular running can help reduce the risk of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and stroke, boost your mood and keep your weight under control?
Several times a year we run a specific beginner's programme to help new and less confident runners get started. Our Get Up and Run course was created by our experienced England Athletics qualified coach Georgina and is led by our Beginner's run leader, Carolyn. It is designed to get you off the sofa and will gradually work you up to running a 5K park run or local race. We end the course with a graduation event at one of the local parkruns.
Each course is just 8 weeks long and costs just £25 which includes club membership.
